Wood supply and demand for fiscal 2013

On June 27, the Forestry Agency released the data for the Wood Supply and Demand in 2013(the sector of sawn timber: wood used for lumber products, plywood, pulp and chips, and others) to the public. According to the report, total amount of demand for 2013 (after conversion to the log equivalent) exceeded the previous year’s result for the first time in two years reaching 73.867 million m³ (4.6% increase compared to the previous year).
