Case study workshop by Japan Federation of Wood-Industry Associations
The 7th case study workshop for new use of timber was held at a hall located on the 7th floor of the Mokuzai Kaikan in Shinkiba, Tokyo on February 18. It was hosted by the Japan Federation of Wood-Industry Associations and the Japan Council for Advancement on Timber Utilization with the support of the Forestry Agency, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Japan Housing and Wood Technology Center, and the Japan Wood-Products Information & Research Center. This presentation is popular as various examples of timber usages are introduced every year. An audience of nearly 250 keenly listened to the presentations made in Part1: Examples of comfortable and low-cost wooden buildings in the public sector, and in Part 2: Examples and their assessment of “The urban development utilizing timber” at the workshop this year.
